Soft Surroundings is looking for is a digitally savvy, omni-channel experienced leader who can build and execute a cohesive digital growth strategy that aligns to and delivers on company, customer, and financial goals. Paramount in that growth strategy is new customer acquisition via optimizing digital channels to drive the right top-of-funnel prospects on a path of constantly improving conversion. This individual must be truly customer obsessed a person who is curious and will ask the key questions, always looking at ways to improve the brand and experience. The Vice President Marketing & Ecommerce will bring the right balance of abilities to collaborate, be agile and partner effectively with internal and external partners, be an agent of change, and a player/coach to a smart and growing team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Architect a cohesive omni-channel growth marketing plan with an emphasis on new customer acquisition.
  • Emphasize and drive enhanced analytics and measurement toward ever-improving optimization of marketing spend'not just ROAS but truly establishing the analytical connection between marketing and revenue. Conceive and implement the strategy and key metrics for consistently and accurately measuring marketing results.
  • Deliver greatly enhanced retention and customer loyalty by developing the right strategies and leading the execution of the requisite campaigns, programs, and tactics.
  • Leadership and people development of a growing team across Marketing and eCommerce.

Role Essentials:

  • Proven success mentoring and growing a marketing team.
  • Experienced building a brand growth strategy. Been both strategic and tactical with an ability to see beyond the set strategy and pivot when and where necessary, in just the right amounts.
  • Bring a strong and proven understanding of customer acquisition, retention and full lifecycle marketing.
  • Proven ability to build out and truly utilize marketing automation tools to get more sophisticated in reaching and having personalized communication with customers.
  • Experience and proven ability to optimize messaging, and pair the right messages with the right offers to maximize response, engagement, and revenue.
  • Successful track record in providing true team leadership and facilitating effective cross-functional partnerships.
  • An ability to clearly and effectively explain what marketing is doing and why to others within the company, along with effectively communicating results.
  • Bring a data-driven approach and measurement mentality. Track record of driving key customer insights from vast data sets to inform strategies and deliver results.
  • Proven success expanding, improving and optimizing use of a marketing technology stack. You've worked with a CIO or other tech leaders to build internal systems.
  • Leadership skills that include working closely and effectively with a smart and engaged senior leadership team. This includes bringing your own opinions to the table, and being willing to push back, be strong and back up your own opinions with data and quantitative arguments that explain the "why".
  • Comfortable working in an environment of accountability and ownership.
